Life had other plans as they pursued their dreams. After a year together, they embarked on a long-distance relationship—Vincent staying in the province while Yoko moved to Manila for college. For nearly five years, they saw each other only once a year, holding on to their love through patience, trust, and endless phone calls.
In 2015, they reunited in Manila, only to face another separation when Yoko took a job opportunity in the UAE. Two years later, unable to bear the distance any longer, Vincent followed her to the UAE, proving once again that love knows no boundaries.

On July 1st, 2021, during a vacation in the stunning mountains of Kazbegi, Georgia, Vincent planned the perfect surprise proposal. Under the guise of a photoshoot, Vincent popped the question amidst the breathtaking scenery. With a heart full of nerves and excitement, he asked Yoko to spend forever with him. She had no idea it was coming—a moment that had been months in the making.
Though they originally planned to marry the following year, life led them down different paths once more. Vincent moved to Ontario, Canada, for a new opportunity, while Yoko remained in the UAE. Despite the distance, their love remained steadfast.

Now, in 2025, after years of being apart, Vincent and Yoko finally made their dream come true by eloping in the majestic winter wonderland of Banff. Yoko traveled all the way from the UAE to Canada to marry the love of her life.
